Up for sale is my 1998 523i with manual gearbox.Bought it couple of months ago, the first time put my foot down it threw rod through the side of the block. sourced and fitted another engine after this happened, but when started it found out that the head gasket had gone. have lost all interest in doing it all over again or even swapping the gasket. So it's up for sale as it is.The body is rust free except tiny scab on the boot lid as pictured. There is bit on the bonnet where it's been scraped. Other than that it's really very clean. Interior is good too. Radio, cruise control, climate control all work. Air con will need regassing as disconnected this when swapped the engine.Wheels are in great condition.It has noisy exhaust for some reason. Wind the window up and you don't hear it so it's not too invasive.MOT until 2018.Still taxed and insured so test drives can be had, but it over heats. have put tub of kseal in it to attempt to make it useable so it could be driven home by myself and it didn't overheat, but wouldn't drive it long distance.Would make an excellent base for v8/v10/v12 swap as the shell is in great condition.Any questions just ask on here or text/call me (John) on 07935035939.
