You are looking at BMW 318i SE saloon. bought it at the time for run around and bit of project. 
It has few knocks on the front bumper where the previous owner appears to have nudged something!
I have spent about ??250 on various bits and pieces which include:
Solenoid sealsHaynes manualO ring for cam sensorAir intake pipe and resonator Chain tensionerFront right window motorWindow regulator(2) rear brake pad clipsSpark plugs Inlet manifold GasketsCCV oil Sep and hosesWasher water motorLambda sensor post catClutch switch
The engine management light is on and reports problems 27EC (CAN EGS failure) and 27BB (Camshaft control outlet).
I still drive the car and it is still MoTed and taxed.
The one noticeable issue is that while idling or taking off after blue smoke appears momentarily but once she is underway it doesn't appear any more. can only guess it is valve or stem issue, which I don't know.
The oil will need changing in about months although have been adding litre every 500miles which assume is connected to the blue smoke.
It has cam chain.
The cruise control works but doesn't activate as one of the engine errors may prevent it from doing so.
